Pioneer specializes in hand soldering of connectors and non-active components
to meet the requirements of ANSI-J-STD-001 and previous specification
Mil-STD-2000.
In addition, encapsulation, bonding, conformal coating, stiffener installation,
potting of connectors, assembly forming, heat sink bonding and
electrical test is performed.
1. Certified assembly personnel installs standard 55 pin connector (qty 12) on this 12 layer rigid-flex satellite power supply board.
2. Bonded cable support (molding) capable of withstanding 5lb. shear load in any direction.
3. Assembly personnel preps connectors prior to hand soldering to assembly.
4. Potting personnel clean excess material from flex cable.
5. Encapsulation, Bonding, and Conformal Coating.
FINISHED PRODUCTS
SPACEWAY: Phased array antenna assembly with high density “Nano-D” connectors. Spaceway will provide high speed internet access via satellite.
PEI: Multi-board assembly – 3, 16 layer Type 4 boards with 360 degree silver polymer shielding on all flex ‘legs’. Master interconnect for U2 signals intelligence package.
EMI: 16 layer rigid flex assembly, over 5’ long with 360° EMI Shielding over flex and rigid sections. This assembly is the ‘backbone’ of a electronic surveillance package in the U2.
