SPACE PROGRAMS
Space Exploration Programs – Pioneer’s depth of involvement in space science and exploration programs is unmatched in the printed circuit industry. Our contributions to NASA/JPL’s Mars exploration programs including the Mars Exploration Rovers (MER) and Pathfinder/Sojourner missions were particularly significant. Pioneer is also a major supplier to the International Space Station, Cassini, James Webb Space Telescope and many other NASA programs.

MARS ROVER
Dragon is a new way for Manned missions to go into space. Space X is a commercial company which is contracted by the government to send equipment and eventually astronauts into space. In the past, only governments had the resources to send men into space. Space X’s Dragon space capsule, is a step forward in the exploration of space and mankind’s growth outward from the Earth. Early explorers were often funded by governments, Christopher Columbus exploration of the new world is good example. After Columbus, other private companies and people followed to make homes and businesses in the new world. Companies sending material and people into space are just the next step in this ongoing process. We here at Pioneer, are a part of history in the making.
The International Space Station
Working with the Constructing LA team and LA City Council, we set about creating the hype for the Constructing LA event for 2011. We started filming the project a year earlier. The end result was to design and build two constructions to be placed at both ends of the city for the New Year’s celebrations of 2011. Only on the last week did the 24 hour cameras get taken down from the web, before the great reveal. The year-long project was then made into a time lapse video which was displayed alongside the constructions.

AVIONICS PROGRAMS
Aerospace programs – Pioneer hardware is used extensively in 777 , F-22 , F-18 , F-16 and F-15 airplanes and we continue our leadership in military and civil avionics as a major supplier to the latest avionics platforms including the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) and Boeing 7E7.

The F-35 is descended from the X-35, which was the winning design of the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program. It is being designed and built by an aerospace industry team led by Lockheed Martin.
Global Hawk
The Northrop Grumman RQ-4 Global Hawk is an unmanned (UAV) surveillance aircraft. It was initially designed by Ryan Aeronautical (now part of Northrop Grumman), and known as Tier II+ during development. In role and operational design, the Global Hawk is similar to the Lockheed U-2. The RQ-4 provides a broad overview and systematic surveillance using high-resolution synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and long-range electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensors with long loiter times over target areas. It can survey as much as 40,000 square miles (100,000 km2) of terrain a day.

Weapons Systems – the U.S. armed forces protect the land, sea and air with the most technologically advanced weapons systems on the planet. Pioneer is a major supplier to programs such as PAC-3 , THAAD , Javelin , M-1 tank and the Bradley Fighting Vehicle.

The Patriot Advanced Capability 3 missile a high medium advanced surface-to-air guided missile air defense system.
Lockheed Martin is producing the combat-proven Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) Missile under production contracts from the U.S. Army Air and Missile Defense Program Executive Office and multiple international customers. The PAC-3 Missile is being incorporated into the Patriot air defense system.
The hit to kill PAC-3 Missile is the world’s most advanced, capable and powerful terminal air defense missile. It defeats the entire threat: tactical ballistic missiles (TBMs), cruise missiles and aircraft.
The PAC-3 Missile is a quantum leap ahead of any other air defense missile when it comes to the ability to protect the Warfighter in their defining moments.
The PAC-3 Missile is a high velocity interceptor that defeats incoming targets by direct, body-to-body impact.
Pioneer Circuits supports Thaad
The Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD), formerly Theater High Altitude Area Defense, is a United States Army anti-ballistic missile system designed to shoot down short, medium, and intermediate ballistic missiles in their terminal phase using a hit-to-kill approach.
The missile carries no warhead but relies on the kinetic energy of the impact to destroy the incoming missile.
A kinetic energy hit minimizes the risk of exploding conventional warhead ballistic missiles, and nuclear tipped ballistic missiles won't explode upon a kinetic energy hit, although chemical or biological warheads may disintegrate or explode and pose a risk of contaminating the environment.
SATELLITE PROGRAMS
Satellite programs – both military and commercial communications satellites are major markets for Pioneer’s products. Specific programs include Advanced EHF , NPOESS/VIIRS , Spaceway and many others.
